Why does concrete mixing plant and cement silo experience slow feeding?

The cement silo is a device used to store powder in the concrete mixing plant. When the mixing plant starts production, the powder in the cement silo will enter the mixer through the screw conveyor, but we may encounter powder conveying during the production process. Slow phenomenon, then, how does this phenomenon come about? How are we going to solve it.

The phenomenon of failure: Usually, the conveying time of the unselected conveyor is less than 20s. If the feeding time exceeds two minutes, it is a conveying failure.

Why does concrete mixing plant and cement silo experience slow feeding?

Cause of failure: The main influencing factors are the poor feeding of the powder tank and the damage of the screw conveyor. The manifestations of poor powder feeding include powder arching, material agglomeration at the discharge port of the powder material tank, too small opening of the discharge butterfly valve, and insufficient material in the powder material tank. The damage to the screw conveyor is mainly due to the deformation of the screw blades, which cannot be conveyed normally.

How to handle:
1. Open the air blowing arch breaking device;
2. Check that the discharge butterfly valve of the powder tank is in the fully open position;
3. Check whether the material at the outlet of the powder tank is agglomerated;
4. Check whether the screw blade is deformed. If it is deformed, remove it for correction or replace it.
